Protecting Houses of Worship

On July 9, SCI Director Dr. Erroll Southers and the SCI team visited the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Central Los Angeles to discuss protecting houses of worship. Meeting with Pastor J. Edgar Boyd, member of his congregation, and representatives from the NAACP, Dr. Southers discussed the threat of violence at religious institutions, the unique threats the church may face, and some of the tools and solutions that support a safe and secure faith community.
