Understanding Bias & Hate On Campus – Hate Crime Training

November 15, 2018 @ 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

The Safe Communities Institute is proud to collaborate with the Anti-Defamation League Los Angeles to present a training on Hate Crimes that will help participants better understand the definitions and resources related to hate bias crimes/incidents on campus. ***Law Enforcement – THIS TRAINING IS POST-CERTIFIED!***

The training will feature Ariella Schusterman, Deputy Regional Director. She assists in planning, developing and implementing advocacy initiatives, program activities and services in the community to advance ADL’s mission within the region. She also coordinates ADL’s campus work and Jewish communal security programs and is one of ADL’s Regional Operations Law Enforcement contacts, maintaining relationships with key Law Enforcement professionals and providing training seminars on domestic terrorism, extremism and hate crimes.

Through ADL’s work training law enforcement personnel on hate crime identification, response and reporting – including updating and publicizing police department policies and procedures for addressing hate violence – we can help prepare our public safety professionals to be ready to respond when hate manifests itself!

Seating is limited. Register today.
