Webinar on LAPD Alternatives to Hinder Extremism

Join the National Governors Association for a Preventing Targeted Violence Webinar on the Los Angeles Police Department’s Providing Alternatives to Hinder Extremism (PATHE). PATHE is a strategy designed to standardize and operationalize a collaborative, multi-disciplinary identification, diversion, and intervention approach focused on observed behaviors indicative of a person who may be on a pathway to committing an act of targeted mass violence. Detective Charles Dempsey will present on how PATHE was created and how states and localities can facilitate collaboration across mental health services, social services, law enforcement, and community-based organizations to develop intervention programs.
