Kenji Inaba, MD, FACS, FRCSC, brings his expertise in trauma, emergency surgery and surgical critical care to the treatment of patients in crisis and the education of future trauma surgeons.
Dr. Inaba’s research interests include the resuscitation of critically injured patients, novel methods for emergent bleeding control and prehospital lifesaving interventions. He has been the principal or coinvestigator on 22 grants in excess of $7 million. In addition, he has authored more than 660 peer-reviewed articles and 60 book chapters and is the editor of nine textbooks.
He is a councilor for the American Board of Surgery and a member of more than a dozen surgical societies, leading initiatives such as the American College of Surgeons’ STOP THE BLEED program.
Dr. Inaba was born and raised in Canada.
