Phillip Sanchez

Phillip is a dynamic leader and results-oriented executive with 38 years of law enforcement experience.  His background includes command ranks at the Santa Monica Police Department and, most recently, as the Pasadena Chief of Police.  Phillip is highly accomplished in contemporary policing, security, and significant event planning.  He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Redlands University and a Master’s in Security Studies from the United States Naval Postgraduate School, where he graduated with honors.  

Phillip also completed the prestigious Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) National Academy, the John F. Kennedy School Government, and the Peace Officers Standards & Training (POST) Command College.  He is a published author (topics include police training, mental health & wellness for peace officers, and the physiological impact of stress in lethal environments) and is a subject matter expert in police tactics, community policing, large venue security, the effect of the unhoused, and active shooter/mass casualty response.   He has extensive experience in court security and is a police practice expert.  Phillip retired from the Pasadena Police Department in April 2018 and looks forward to his future career in state-of-the-art security management and operations.
