Inaugural Faith Communities Security Summit

March 3, 2020 @ 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

| Free

Faith leaders of the greater Southern California area are invited to attend the inaugural Faith Communities Security Summit, hosted by the Los Angeles Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the LA Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC), the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center (OCIAC), the LA Emergency Preparedness Foundation, and other sponsors.

Faith-based communities are grappling with the rise of targeted violence. The desire and intent of federal law enforcement and its partners is to pro-actively address this evolving threat by building trust with faith organizations and providing an array of tools to keep communities safe. The summit will offer an immersing day of sharing information, examining hate doctrine and the emerging face of racially motivated extremist threats, as well as discussing public and private resources available to keep faith organizations safe. There will also be a DHS-facilitated session to educate and inform on how best to harden structures and campuses.

The summit is offered at no cost. Register online to attend.
