SCI Director Dr. Erroll Southers will join a workshop on “Criminal Justice Approaches to Preventing, Detecting and Responding to Homegrown Terrorism” at the Global Counterterrorism Forum‘s (GCTF) Initiative to Address Homegrown Terrorism. The initiative is co-led by the United States and the Kingdom of Morocco, in partnership with the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law.

The GCTF is an international forum of 29 countries and the European Union focused on reducing vulnerability to terrorism by preventing, combating, and prosecuting terrorist acts and countering incitement and recruitment. The forum brings together experts and practitioners from countries and regions around the world to share experiences and expertise, and develop tools and strategies on how to counter the evolving terrorist threat.

The workshop will be held in Valletta, Malta.
