Open Conversation on Black Identity Extremism

February 2, 2018 @ 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

An FBI Intelligence Assessment leaked in October 2017 suggested that “The FBI assesses it is very likely Black Identity Extremist (BIE) perceptions of police brutality against African Americans spurred an increase in premeditated, retaliatory lethal violence against law enforcement and will very likely serve as justification for such violence.” SCI Director Dr. Erroll Southers will moderate an open discussion with Rep. Karen Bass about law enforcement, counterterrorism and intelligence capabilities as they relate to the FBI’s “Black Identity Extremism” designation.

Seating is limited. RSVP today.
