
Dr. Tony Beliz is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist who lectures nationally and internationally on Behavioral Threat Assessment and Emerging Trends in Targeted Violence. He is an Instructor, University of Southern California, Sol Price School of Public Policy, Safe Communities Initiative.
Dr. Beliz consults with school districts and corporations on targeted violence prevention and risk management. As the former Deputy Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Dr. Beliz developed and supervised the School Threat Assessment Response Team (START) and Special Prevention Unit (SPU).
Dr. Beliz serves as Expert Witness for the Los Angeles County Superior Court and State of California Board of Psychology. He is a Diplomate in the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and Diplomate in the American College of Forensic Examiners.
