Film Discussion – ‘American Skin’

SCI hosted a discussion with actor and director Nate Parker about his film “American Skin.” SCI Director Dr. Erroll Southers provided the welcome, and the conversation included Shyhiem Parker and police officers from the Santa Monica Police Department, the LAPD, and USC’s Department of Public Safety. The panel discussed the premise for the film and allowed police officers, diverse in departments and ethnicity, to share about the challenges and misconstructions they face while doing their jobs.
