On May 1, 2020, the USC Pacific Asia Museum, in coordination with other USC departments, hosted a webinar discussing the rise of violent hate crimes against individuals of Asian and Jewish heritages during the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar, “Stronger than Hate: Resources and Solutions at USC,” was developed to summon the social courage to confront the rise in hate. Confronting hate means creating spaces where communities feel physically safe and where human connection transcends the trauma inflicted by hate.
