Sense of Safety Challenge 2019

In support of SCI and America’s Safe Schools Week, the Rocket Rules Sense of Safety (S.O.S.) Challenge teaches awareness skills that build knowledge and safe practices to better prepare children for active threat emergencies in school, at home or in public settings. The objective of these activities is to provide children with a sense of safety no matter where they are.

Created for students grades K-3rd:

  • All materials are vetted by law enforcement, homeland security experts and child education specialists
  • Includes animated videos and downloadable standards-based activities
  • Compliments school safety plans and is aligned with National Health and Academic Education Standards

Officer Spotlight - El Monte Police Chief Ben Lowry was a 20-year law enforcement veteran who was appointed to lead the El Monte Police Department in June 2022. Tragically, Chief Lowry passed away in October. He was 45. Thank you Chief Lowry for your service. Read more.
