National Character and Leadership Symposium

February 22, 2018 @ 8:00 AM - February 23, 2018 @ 5:00 PM

SCI Director Dr. Erroll Southers will speak at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s 2018 National Character and Leadership Symposium. Dr. Southers will discuss ethics and responsibility when working within public institutions with a speech titled, “Inside the Castle Walls.”

The national symposium brings together distinguished scholars, military leaders, corporate leaders, world-class athletes, and others to explore a character-related theme based on the United States Air Forces Academy Outcomes. At this year’s two-day event, speakers will focus on the value and importance of ethics and respect for human dignity across personal and professional cultures. The challenges of a multi-cultural world require individuals to cast aside biases towards gender, racial, religious, or sexual identities to create an environment that facilitates ethical leadership and decision-making, as well as personal and professional respect for their fellow human beings.

Visit the U.S. Air Force Academy event page for registration details.
