Principles and Practice of Threat Assessment for Violence Prevention

Join the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work for an in-depth training seminar that will prepare you to assess and mitigate acts of violence. Taught by nationally recognized experts in threat assessment, law enforcement, and mental health, this course features evidence-based data driven approaches to professional principles, practice and application of threat assessment.

Participants will learn how to gather and assess information that will allow them to identity risk in order to design and implement threat management interventions. Attendees will also learn how to develop and integrate multidisciplinary teams into their organizations to mitigate acts of targeted violence and help restore troubled persons to healthy and appropriate levels of conduct.

This program is recommended for social workers, school administrators, educators, school counselors, human resource professionals, security and law enforcement professionals and all others who are interested in developing and/or enhancing their threat assessment and management skills.
